BUSINESS

Renegade Motion Picture Corporation is a Toronto based Ontario Corporation founded in 1993. It is run by a steering committee of working professionals and business advisors under the leadership of Steven Rumbelow.

In the time since its inception Renegade has produced in Canada, the United Kingdom and the USA. As of right now Renegade has offices in Toronto, ON and Regina, SK. The development of this company to one of Canada's most prolific producers of independent feature films and television products has been extraordinary and unusual.

In 2002 Renegade decided to develop an innovative new creative system for development and creation of productions in Canada. This was attempted in Regina with a group of adventurous and committed artists. The outcome was Queen City Blowout and Lost Souls. As a result Renegade started a special research and development unit to be based in Regina with a goal of five experimental productions between 2002 and 2007. Concurrent with this agenda Renegade's ensemble of talent in Toronto continues to produce higher budget productions such as The Covenant.

In 2003 Renegade acquired 100% of the shares of the distinguished Peace Arch Development Corporation being the company's first step into the world of International Distribution. Following two years of successful ownership Renegade sold Peace Arch Development to Peace Arch Entertainment who is now producing a quantity of higher budget productions in the $10m range.

Also in 2003 Renegade undertook to produce a 13-part series for worldwide TV distribution called BEYOND. The series aired on CHUM Television's Space Channel and subsequently CHUM bought two seasons (26 episodes) which were produced, delivered and aired in 2004 and 2005. Now CHUM has ordered a further two seasons for airing in 2006 and 2007, bringing the total number of episodes to 52. A full year of programs is optimum for future syndicated markets.

Renegade has developed unique ways of both financing and producing feature films based on Steven Rumbelow's philosophy: "An artist has to have guts. No-one's gonna help you so if you want to do it, just do it." The unique systems put in place by Renegade have been proven. However, to accomplish this takes an incredible amount of experience, knowlege, expertise and experimentation. Film is a high-competition industry and because these production techniques are so new and effective the Renegade system and production procedure is now protected as a trade secret.

The bottom line is that between 2003 and 2007 Renegade will have completed over 60 productions for film and television. For a small independent Canadian production company that is an historic accomplishment. By 2008 Renegade will have 52 television productions and four feature films in concurrent release.

The film industry is Canada's fastest growing industry and the largest industry in the USA. There are basically three ways that interested parties can become financially involved with Renegade's part in that industry: Sponsorship, loans or direct Investment. (See below)

All productions qualify as Canadian and are eligable for full Provincial and Federal Tax Credits.
